Every county EM plan should spell out backup comms for when fiber or networks go down. Good to see Maryland putting that in place for its hospitals.
In hospitals, cyberattacks or fiber cuts can have life or death impacts. That's why Maryland emergency management leaders are deploying FirstNet tech to ensure lifesaving care continues without interruption: firstnet.gov/newsroom/blog/h…

Flash flooding is when roads and cell service can go out together. Charge the radios, check your batteries, and know your backup channel before tonight.
Grant tip: check your SAM registration before you need it.
Federal grants like AFG and USDA Community Facilities need an active one. Allow at least 10 business days for a new registration to go active. Renew it every 365 days (it's free).

Next stop: the full Senate.
