Whole AI slop on why not to vote the "devil you know".
WHY I SUPPORT TINUBU, IN VERY SIMPLE TERMS. I BELIEVE IT SHOULD BE MORE THAN ENOUGH REASON FOR YOU TOO. 🇳🇬
A THREAD 🧵
I agree, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is not perfect.
I agree, the standard of living has deteriorated under his administration, and millions of Nigerians are struggling to make ends meet.
I agree, insecurity remains a serious menace, threatening lives, livelihoods, and communities across the country.
I agree, inflation has eroded purchasing power, making food, transportation, housing, and other basic necessities increasingly unaffordable.
I agree, the removal of fuel subsidy, though economically justifiable in principle, came with enormous immediate consequences for ordinary Nigerians.
I agree, the naira has lost significant value, and exchange-rate instability has placed additional pressure on businesses and households.
I agree, unemployment and underemployment remain serious problems, particularly among our young people.
I agree, the government has not done enough to cushion the effects of its reforms on the most vulnerable citizens.
I agree, the pace of improvement in electricity supply remains disappointing, despite the country’s enormous energy needs.
I agree, Nigerians have every right to demand better governance, greater accountability, improved security, and tangible results.
I agree, promises are not achievements, and no administration should be praised merely for announcing policies.
But to conclude from all these challenges that President Tinubu has done absolutely nothing is either a failure to examine the facts or a deliberate refusal to acknowledge them.
Let us be honest enough to separate criticism from denial.
SO, WHAT HAS TINUBU ACTUALLY DONE?
I don’t want to bore you, so let’s save that for the end of the thread.
NOW, LET US TALK ABOUT THE 2027 ELECTION.
This is an election season. Nigerians must decide whether to give the incumbent another four years or entrust the country to an alternative candidate.
For me, the serious debate revolves around three names: Tinubu, Atiku, and Obi. Other candidates have every right to contest, but these are the three I consider most relevant to this argument.
So, who would I choose?
Tinubu. Ten times over.
Wallahi, Tallahi, I have my reasons. Let me explain a few of them.
1. THE DEVIL I KNOW IS BETTER THAN THE DEVIL I DO NOT KNOW.
I know Tinubu’s political history. I know his strengths, his weaknesses, his methods, and some of the people and interests surrounding him. I can assess his record, criticise his failures, and demand that he improve on what he has started.
With a new president, particularly one without a comparable record of managing Nigeria’s federal executive machinery, we would be taking a different kind of risk.
This is not an argument that Tinubu is automatically the best candidate because he is already in office. Incumbency is not a qualification in itself. My argument is that, in a country facing deep institutional and economic challenges, continuity can be valuable when there is a credible case for the direction of travel.
And I believe there is such a case with Tinubu.
2. PETER OBI: GOOD INTENTIONS ARE NOT ENOUGH.
I do not have to believe Peter Obi is a bad person to question whether he is the right person for the presidency.
Running a state and running Nigeria are fundamentally different undertakings. Nigeria is a complex federation with competing regional interests, a vast security apparatus, entrenched institutional weaknesses, a complicated political structure, and an economy exposed to global shocks.
The presidency requires more than fiscal discipline, sound public speaking, or a reputation for personal frugality. It requires the ability to build coalitions, manage competing interests, negotiate with powerful stakeholders, make unpopular decisions, withstand political pressure, and maintain the capacity to govern when the opposition is relentless…

I swear by Allah, I have made a vow to complete the recitation of the entire Holy Qur’an 100 times against the bandits, their informants, and everyone who has the power to stop them but chooses not to. May Allah disgrace and bring them to ruin.

My fellow Nigerians, young and old, I know the pain you are carrying.
Parents go to bed worried about what they will feed their children tomorrow. Pensioners must choose between buying medicine and buying food. Young people work hard, yet transport, rent and basic needs consume what they earn. And across the country, families live with the fear of kidnapping, attacks and whether their loved ones will return home safely.
No family should have to face hunger and insecurity at the same time. We cannot allow this hardship and fear to become the future our children inherit.
If you are a registered voter, please go and collect your PVC. Hold on to it. It is your voice, your choice and your peaceful power to demand change.
Bola made life expensive. I will work to make life affordable again and restore the security every Nigerian deserves. Let us stand together, across generations, and vote for a Nigeria where every family can live with dignity, safety and hope. -AA

Jaby, I make way more money from the people you kiss up to every day on the TL than you'll ever see. This was never about access or money it's about putting Kaduna and Nigeria first.
We spent over ₦100M to deliver our candidates and build a real base. Look at the movement in Kafanchan, Kaduna North, Kaduna South, and Igabi that’s our footprint. You couldn't win a councilor seat or produce one if your life depended on it.
I get why you're threatened, but relax I'm not Zulkiflu and I'm not here for your job. I’m not a PR boy; I’m a respected youth stakeholder nominated to top party committees. Who are you? I deliver candidates. What have you delivered in three years of brown-nosing and lying on the TL? I’ll never do PR for APC or Uba.
Life isn't all about vanity. We might want better, but we aren't desperate or hungry like you.
One phone call puts me over you, and you'll be taking orders from my strategy and leadership things you clearly lack.
I still respect ADC and hold the believe they are better than what you sell everyday here
Don't come here and try to shalaye
You just feel you have been valued below your worth and the streams of revenue from the struggle no longer finds its way to your purse, there’s no in between. Hiding behind “safety” is a weak argument. Kaduna state, under @ubasanius, has given all candidates and their supporters equal playing ground.
Borrow a leaf out of our political struggle, our support and loyalty is born out of personal conviction, monetary value is never a determiner. And that has always been the factor that propels my unfiltered support to candidate of my choice without thinking twice.
