Many thanks @thiemechemistry and Prof. Lautens @MarkLautens for highlighting our work and selecting as the Synfact of the Month! @HuLab_EPFL
❇️ In this Synfact of the month @MarkLautens (@TheLautensGroup) from @UofT highlighted the ´Ni-Catalyzed Formation of Two Vicinal Enantioenriched C(sp3) Centers Stemming from Two Starting Materials` by Hu X. and co-workers from @EPFL_en.🧐 👉 fal.cn/3yfmV

Creating one enantiomerically enriched C(sp3) centre in cross-coupling is already challenging. Now we report the control of two vicinal C(sp3) centres via Ni-catalyzed hydroalkylation. rdcu.be/c16z8 With @sbera01 and Chao Fan. @NatureCatalysis @EPFL_CHEM_Tweet

Our #perspective on #JACS about the asymmetric Nickel Hydride Catalysis for alkyl-alkyl coupling is now online. Indeed a great teamwork led by @HuLab_EPFL. I appreciate all the authors for their contributions and reviewers for their suggestions.
We just published a perspective on the emergence of nickel-catalyzed hydrocarbonation of alkenes as an efficient approach to make compounds rich in aliphatic carbons, which should help to escape the current flatland in drug discovery. @ZhikunZhang4 @sbera01

About 10 years ago we started to work on an enantioselective alkyl-alkyl coupling process. A few generations of coworkers and approaches later, now thanks to @sbera01 and @runzemao, we made our first breakthrough. nature.com/articles/s41557-0… @EPFL_CHEM_Tweet @NatureChemistry

How can we convert CO₂ from threat to asset? Chemists want to use #electrochemistry to turn CO₂ into chemical feedstocks and fuels, but they need to improve their systems’ efficiencies first. Read more at ow.ly/OWXH50BQe9n #GreenChemistry
