Tory MP @danny__kruger claimed £3,598 on expenses for his utility bill last year. This was the highest claim by any MP to cover their bills in such a short space of time. Retweet if you think Kruger should pay for his own gas and electric supply. #UtilityBills

How odd that when some folk can’t see a GP they guess it’s because GPs are avoiding work, not the fact we have the lowest GP to patient ratio we have ever had and they are simply overrun. Tory propaganda works.

Glorious moment on Newsnight as Victoria Derbyshire won't take Tory MP Daniel Kawczynski just sticking to his talking points: "I'm going to stop you there. Every question I ask, you are ignoring."

To give an idea of the scale of what happened yesterday, the Bank of England was forced to sell off cheap 65% of Britain's financial reserves to correct a catastrophic error made by a Chancellor who had sacked the senior Civil Servant who warned him against doing it. 65% !!!

Police say they’re becoming increasingly concerned over the whereabouts of a Mrs L. Truss from Norfolk. Last seen driving entire country off a cliff.

Baroness Michelle Mone maybe able to take out injunctions on the newspapers…. BUT she can’t take one out on me! £200 mill in covid contracts, she delivered useless PPE and then didn’t pay her taxes. NHS workers wore bin bags because this Tory peer is corrupt. #ToryCriminals

The problem with working with @D_Blanchflower is working out what he really thinks.....
Danny Blanchflower(former member BoE MPC) - "Kwasi Kwarteng has crashed the markets.... & his credibility is completely trashed... I have never seen such raging incompetence ever"

Pls share to stop confusion. THERE IS NO £2,500 CAP ON ENERGY BILLS. Instead the new 1 Oct guarantee, like the old caps, limits - Daily charge (28p gas, 46p elec) - & Unit rates (10p/kWh gas, 34p/kWh elec) So use more, pay more. £2,500 is just what someone with avg use'd pay

In Sweden, Norway & Iceland the states owns 100% of major producers of electricity & heat. In France the state owned EDF is leading on low-carbon electricity generation. In the UK we are bailing out Bulb to the tune of £2.2bn in return for nothing. Nationalise energy.

The Bank of England has restarted quantitative easing today precisely because the Truss government has failed to manage the economy - a staggering achievement in three weeks

If Truss and Kwarteng did meet hedge-fund backers a few days before their budget, who then shorted the £ due to the meeting, it is 100% insider dealing. @theFCA must investigate as clearly in the public interest theguardian.com/business/202… @TulipSiddiq

Rachel Maclean has just solved the cost of living crisis - turns out all you need to do is get a better paid job and work more hours. For example, you could become and MP and claim £218,000 in expenses on top of your £80k salary like she did last year.

If the Met operate “without fear or favour” then why are they withholding important information about Downing St fines until after local elections? If that is not normal process for any other citizens of the UK, why should it be appropriate for citizens who are politicians?

I love how we need a committee to decide if Boris Johnson misled Parliament when he was filmed doing it and we all watched it live.
