Release management is an important part (not the whole) of SCM. RM covers packaging, scheduling, communication, and auditing.
Follower sites: good for increasing follower count, but not for getting a quality audience. No more for me.
Don't do this: "In works in dev, so make dev the new production environment." Also, "Cut-and-paste works & is simple, so let's do that." (!)
