Not surprisingly, Sask. is one of the provinces where education spending has *decreased.* 📉 In the last decade, we've gone from 1st in per-student funding to 7th. Government continues to shortchange our kids. Sign up to support students and teachers at TellThemTuesday.com
Contrary to what we often hear, spending on public schools is on the rise in most provinces across Canada. Keep reading: buff.ly/3SXsP1q

With BC new funding numbers to education Saskatchewan now ranks 9th out of the 10 provinces for per student funding. Are SK people really ok with this? Are our students not worth more?

The Government of #Saskatchewan has had one primary similarity and policy since 2015: shortchanging future generations. Provincial debt since that date has tripled. We’ve been in a state of stagnation and decline, ranking last or second last amongst provinces. #skpoli 🧵

If you’re going to write your press release in advance (note the lack of any specifics or numbers) because you knew it was going to be an absolutely massive NO, at least get the date right 🤡#WeAreSTF

On March 20, the provincial government released its 2024-25 budget. While the school division's operating funding has increased by 7.7% for 2024-25, this increase will not come close to addressing the significant increase in student need. Learn more: spsd.sk.ca/Board/budget/Page…

🚩Don't be fooled! The Teacher Support and Innovation Fund has supported only 40 projects. We have 13,500 teachers, so ~ 0.3% are being supported with this fund. These aren't the stats I would be celebrating.
The third round of funding for the Teacher Support and Innovation Fund has seen an additional 17 projects approved, totalling nearly $650,000.   Our government’s commitment to provide these additional supports has been met with impressive and innovative project ideas from teachers across the province.

Taya Thomas lost her daughter last year. This is how Moe’s Education Minister responded. When the Sask. Party shows you who they are - believe them. #skpoli

The Saskatchewan Government is so confident in what they have done that they *would not* recommend anyone else doing it. This is what happens when political stunts catch up with reality.

The primary responsibilities of Provincial Governments are healthcare, education, and nat resources. Healthcare is in shambles, per-student funding continues to be cut, our resource sectors are rife with inefficiencies, while debt has tripled and taxes continue to rise. #skpoli
Today, Finance Minister Donna Harpauer presented a provincial budget that ensures our province continues to grow and that all Saskatchewan people enjoy the benefits of that growth.
