Insurance is a ponzi scheme without benefits. The way it works is say a new company starts I pay them $5,000 and you pay them $5,000 and you get into a $10,000 accident. If they pay you and then I get into an accident there is absolutely no money left at all to pay out. It's all just gone. So if you get out more from insurance then you put in, it means everyone else has to get out LESS then they put in or most people. Pretty much. Take my MacBook for example bought in 2024 near the end and battery is still in the 90's while being plugged in 24/7. My iPhone 12 mini has never had it's. battery replaced and was bought 6 years ago used. Battery health at 84% and it also is plugged in 24/7. Theres a few things to keep in mind. Battery chemistry, and battery charge controller. My Macbook for example charges to 79-80%. My phone stays around 100%. Dies pretty quickly tho but it's a 6 year old mini so not shocked. It's the charge controller that mostly is the reason it's not a problem. Preventing overcharging and stuff maintains battery health for you. The batteries that are mainstream today the Lithium ones, are not the same batteries we had in the. 90's or 2000's. However they are significantly more dangerous. Lithium batteries create their own oxygen meaning if it catches fire and you throw it into water it will remain on fire while under water lol. Damn dendrites, right? But todays electronics really do not. care about being plugged in all the time. They can handle it. Remember just because its plugged in doesn't even mean it's charging. Controller has to let the power thru to the battery. So if it's smart enough to manage that it can manage charging safely.
