#bcedchat Q3: Got started when I was a student teacher looking for PLN and professional development. Ended up with a small world moment- reconnecting with @CraigMah who was my grade 4 teacher.

#bcedchat Q2:too hard to pick just 1 chat bc they were all such rich meaningful discussions. But I loved the core competency chats bc it grew into meeting many bcedchat participants in person. I also really valued & enjoyed my time guest moderating, so fun to be behind the scenes

It was a fantastic Friday. We made play dough and worked on our team work, recipe math, enjoyed some sensory play and added another tool to our self-regulation tool box. Such a great way to end the week. #sd36learn

It’s was a magical Friday! I shared my family tradition of making an ornament each year with my students, and we learnt more sewing skills. ❤️ what beautiful creations they made! #sd36learn

A5: Soft start, every morning we begin by spending quality time with one another and working on our core comp- Playing board games, building things, crafts, learning a new skill like juggling or weaving. Gives everyone a chance to connect, listen & build friendships. #bcedchat

It’s my favourite time of the day! I always play with them. Another one is going for walk and talk each day. We pose a question and all go out to talk/ connect. And lastly hot chocolate Friday. Before covid I’d have 3 S’s stay in at recess to connect over hotchocolate and game.

I ran into some past students and it’s one of the things they mention the most. They always say hot chocolate Friday made them feel special and connected.
