The three small, quiet words about Luka Modrić linkedin.com/posts/sdrak_gro…

This isn’t a basketball story. It’s a leadership one. Gregg Popovich built a dynasty on trust, repetition, people. Here’s why I always connect with his “Pounding the rock” mentality.

Exquisite. Wish I was taught that on day 1 of year 1 in Uni (and then every day 1 ever).
Want to call out @DellAnnaLuca’s lovely book Winning Long Term Games.
It puts into words things that I believe but cannot articulate, in concise prose that I admire.
Read it.

It was a privilege to join the @PwC_Cy_Press ‘Global Survey of CEOs’ event today. The event focused on the results of a local survey of 102 CEOs from Cyprus and a global survey of 4,702 CEOs from 105 countries; both sharing ambitions, expectations and concerns for the next 12 months.
Thank you to PwC and moderator @soseilos_philip , CEO & Senior Partner, PwC Cyprus, for hosting an interesting panel discussion, where I was honoured to speak alongside fellow panellists and business leaders Aileen Allkins, Executive Director, YNV Group, @sdrak , CEO, @InsidePMI Cyprus, and @neocland , CEO, @cytacyprus .

Researchers are asking why some countries were better prepared for covid. One surprising answer: Trust. washingtonpost.com/world/202… (if I may, the only suprising thing is that we find the importance of trust surprising. How that trust is achieved is what makes this article great)
"Good morning. Your window was open and I used this cardboard to seal it so as not to get snow in your car!!! Have a beautiful day". The most gracious note with the most eloquent words and the most human gesture one can expect when they walk towards their car after a snowstorm.
It happened to me, almost a year ago (17/02/21) and I never had the chance to properly and publicly thank the kind human being who took the time. It feels right to do so today, amongst a similar snow blizzard in Athens-Greece, with many of us in need of a small act of kindness.
So, thank you, my dear anonymous benefactor - I can only repay through doing the same for others. linkedin.com/posts/sdrak_the… #TheSmallThings
