Sad to report the death of longtime actor Tom Skerritt who passed away from natural causes yesterday at the age of 93. He had an impressive career in TV and film—about 65 years’ worth of performances. Among his many movies: “Top Gun,” “Steel Magnolias” and “A River Runs Through It.” TV audiences will remember Tom for his starring role in the 1990s series, “Picket Fences.” I interviewed him several times over the years—always a gentleman. In a statement today, his family wrote, “While the world knew Tom through his remarkable acting career, we knew him for his humor, curiosity, wisdom, generosity, and the love he brought into our lives.” May he R.I.P. 🙏
