😢 - Ward was amazing - true legend. Started my childhood on various BBS and MUDs.
What got me interested into computers and ultimately created my career out of it.
Ward Christensen, the legend behind the BBS and XMODEM, has passed away at 78. His work didn't just connect computers—it connected people, kickstarting online culture as we know it today.
He pioneered the pathways many of us still walk. Anyone out there still have a place for XMODEM in their toolkit? RIP Ward, and thank you for everything.
