What a way to start the day of our #plasticpollution #awareness event! One of our team @HelmerLuke found this lovely lady 🦆 (along with other plastic waste) on the street on the way in to set up 🤦🏼♂️ Makes it clear that there is still a lot to do to stop this issue! #socialchange – at Portsmouth, England

Packaging like this should be obsolete. You can recycle the bottle but not the printed plastic sleeve wrapped around it. Come on @Tesco, you’ve pledged to ban non-recyclable plastic packaging by 2019, you better get a move on! #DrowningInPlastic #PassOnPlastic #Reduceandreuse
Completely agree with @MartinSLewis #MartinLewis we need to stop the trend of unnecessary #Christmas gift buying! People don’t need stuff that they won’t use! Why not try giving time instead of stuff, make or #upcycle something to save💰and reduce waste! – at South East, England

Portsmouth's beaches are officially excellent!
Our two bathing beaches (Southsea East & Eastney) have again been awarded DEFRA's top classification.
It's the third straight year that Southsea East has an excellent rating, while Eastney has had it for a fair while longer.
