We recently went to an @DePaulHoops Practice to check out how the squad looks heading into the upcoming season and also caught up with @ChrisHoltmann and staff. Here are some thoughts below - First time in Wintrust and WOW. Keep winning and this place will be NUTS. Love the feel and book us for a HOME game maybe more. - We LOVE the roster configuration for this years squad. A ton of depth and some much needed athletic height. Also, added scorers and shooters. DePaul will be a tough match up to any opponent. - One of our favorite pickups anywhere in the portal is Ade Popoola who is an All-Big East player. Takes pride in defense but can flat out score the ball. Shooter and we saw him play twice in the flesh last year. Be ready! - Fabian Flores and Theo Pierre-Justin are two positive cases why you come back to DePaul and they both will take big jumps. - Kruz McClure has the potential to be BIG time and he is looking good plus more comfortable in his second season. - LOVE the additions of Amsal Delalic, Kahmare Holmes, Noah Meeusen and Koree Cotton. They all can play and provide the Blue Demons with a ton of depth. _ LOVE LOVE LOVE the Magoon Gwath and Wilson Jacques additions. They are big, athletic and high energy plus they have been battle tested in the Mountain West. Gwath can stretch it too - Layden Blocker is underrated and will provide much needed leadership along with buckets. - This team will surprise a lot of people this season and this could be a top 5 Big East team with the realistic hopes of dancing in March. This could easily be a (6) tournament bid Big East this season. - Love the Non Conference schedule and really nice balance between games against Purdue, Northwestern, South Florida, SMU, St. Louis, Pitt leading into the rigorous Big East Conference slate. - Really love what Coach Holt and staff continue to do in Lincoln Park. #ScoMons
