a beloved trans sister of mine is going through an impossibly rough time rn after her trans household suddenly lost a beloved roommate and community member. If you could find a few bucks to throw their way during the holidays it would mean the world to me mealtrain.com/gz5y3m

This clown shouldn’t have been leader to begin with, the party had to screw over a grassroots candidate in 2022 to coronate him. Great piece on that here from @TheBreachMedia: breachmedia.ca/how-the-ndp-e…

⚡️ Mayor Zohran Mamdani's NYPD is poised to sign a three-year, $750,500 no-bid contract with Israeli surveillance firm Cognyte for FalcoNet, an AI-driven device that mimics a cell tower to track phones and can be mounted on police cars and drones or hidden in a backpack, the New York Daily News reported.
Cognyte won a tender to sell intercept spyware to Myanmar's state telecom weeks before the 2021 military coup, Reuters previously reported. Meta banned the firm the same year, saying its customers used fake accounts to target journalists and politicians in Kenya, Mexico and Indonesia.
The firm is part of an Israeli surveillance industry that grew big as a result of the military's monitoring of Palestinians, whose phone calls Israel's Unit 8200 has intercepted and stored by the millions, including to carry out genocide in Gaza and enforce a brutal illegal occupation in Jerusalem and the West Bank.

Bravo BC!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
What a great day for beautiful British Columbia, and all of Canada!
The worst government in Canada, and in BC history, has been completely repudiated.
David Eby’s divisive, hard left politics of envy kicked to the curb.
And a principled, serious, renewed Conservative Party given a huge mandate for change!
What a great sequel to Albertans’ rejection of separatism. Now we’ll have these two western powerhouses, plus Saskatchewan, aligned to build Canada into a global energy and resource super power! 🇨🇦💪🏼

The BC Conservatives promise $11.1 billion in tax cuts despite projecting massive deficits. Businesses would receive hundreds of millions in tax exemptions, while ordinary British Columbians could face the consequences if reduced revenue leads to cuts in essential services. #bcpoli #cdnpoli
Imagine your child waiting months for medical treatment because hospitals lack resources. Your child's school losing classroom support. Your rent climbing because affordable housing projects have been delayed. These are the risks families could face if the province struggles to fund public services.
Even more concerning, the Conservatives plan to take $2 billion from BC's $5 billion emergency contingency fund and count it as savings. That money is set aside for unexpected costs, including wildfires, healthcare emergencies and rising demand for essential services.
Imagine a wildfire forcing your family to evacuate. Firefighters need equipment, displaced residents need shelter, and communities need money to rebuild. Reducing emergency reserves doesn't make those costs disappear. It leaves the province with less money set aside to respond.
Or imagine your elderly parent waiting in an overcrowded emergency room while hospitals urgently need additional funding. A smaller contingency fund leaves the government with fewer options to address unexpected pressures without borrowing or cutting elsewhere.
The Conservatives also rely on economic growth far above independent forecasts. If those predictions fail, BC could collect less revenue than expected, forcing difficult choices between additional debt and reduced services.
Economist Jim Stanford estimates their financial assumptions could leave BC with annual deficits exceeding $15 billion.
The tax cuts would take billions out of provincial revenue while leaving less money in emergency reserves. If hospitals need more funding, housing projects fall behind or wildfires strike, British Columbians could face the consequences.
