Kinda! It was a two-part shout out to Sarah Townsend. Part 2 was Simcoe's valentine letter in the next ep.
Excited to be working with @kyliu99 and @TitmouseInc and of course @AMC_TV on this. Been a long-time dream to bring more adult animated drama to tv!
Alex and I worked on that scene a bunch. It was also used to cast Townsend - which is how we found the great Nick Westrate!

It was an AMC request upon seeing the pilot/before green lighting series. It involved a small reshoot (or unshoot-in-the-face shoot). I will never forget calling Sam and saying, "you just acted yourself back to life, buddy."

It's so critical. Critical to a good time, at least. I've seen it happen and... not happen. On this show, it happened, and a lot of that came from the "social directors" in the cast. Everyone went out together.
Is it necessary for the whole cast to feel connected to each other as one cast or a team, even thought they are often working apart from the others? If so, how do you foster that connection? #TurnACA
