I wanted something related to academics and I 💖 computer science so much that I wanted to do software development at a professional level. In all this fear, I realized that I was not employable according to my own standards.

Few takeaways and lessons from this.
1. The father didn’t have the means, so he left the child. That was stupid ! And was a colossal mistake and terrible; it’s one of the mistakes men make. Of course, many families and women create conditions that make that a natural occurrence, but you have to be seen to keep fighting it and establish yourself properly in your child’s life.
There was no excuse. He didn’t do well by leaving him to them and was up north, unbothered. Never ever abandon your child to anybody!!
2. It’s interesting that this child, with all of that background story, ended up being the child that could have changed the entire story of the family for generations and was the star of their family. God works in mysterious ways.
3. The conventional wisdom that the child would still know his father which people swore always plays out happened here. Toluwani was always in touch with him, even by this man’s account, and did his best for him while alive and still had big and decent plans for him before he passed. He was under no obligation to, considering that this man even said with his mouth that for some period, they had no single contact with him. (I do not think he should open his mouth and say that.)
4. Notwithstanding him establishing some relationship with the father, he still didn’t have close connections with him and his family, and rightly so. He didn’t live with them and technically didn’t raise him. He would definitely have a much closer affinity with the mother’s side, who he lived with.
5. Curiously, the mother’s side that raised him haven’t said anything or granted interviews all over the place like these ones.
6. With all of this, the father and his family are not in a position to be making demands after his death. There is no other way to look at it. It’s a disgrace that they are making any demands, having allowed themselves to be removed from the child’s formative years.
7. Even if they were there, I don’t think anyone should be dictating to the wife of a man who has children where her husband should be buried. They can have opinions, but you can’t discount her wishes. If it were a woman, it wouldn’t be okay for the family to be making such strong demands.
I listened to this interview of Toluwanisings father and I became so heartbroken.
This father didn’t try and the audacity to be saying it beats me.
An example of an absent father but the guy still did his best for him!
Eni to ku ni ti e gbe! Asking that he should be buried in his house is not for him to call. Cringggggggggg

You must not afflict any widow or orphan. If you afflict them in any way and they cry to me, I will surely hear their cry, and my anger will burn and I will kill you with the sword, and your wives will be widows and your children will be fatherless.

Was Toluwanisings close to his father while he was alive? It doesn’t look like it.
If he wasn’t close to his family while alive, he doesn’t want them around him in death too. Let his wife decide what happens to him.
If you were never in my life while alive, remain faraway in death. It’s simple as ABC.

they realized the web wouldn’t scale without React, so they built it, elevated it to a first-class primitive across their entire stack, and turned its programming model into the foundation of their web infrastructure.
React evolved beyond a UI library into an indispensable computational substrate for the modern web: a declarative programming model, a runtime, and an abstraction boundary that fundamentally reshaped how interface state, reconciliation, and rendering are expressed.
Next.js pushed this further by integrating resumability, partial prefetching, and streaming into the framework’s execution model, turning navigation and rendering into problems of dependency scheduling, cache coherence, and distributed computation

After 5 years of building @AltSchoolAfrica with @AdewaleYusuf_ and @opeawo, today I’m officially stepping down as CTO and moving into the CEO role.
The goal is to provide global education to Africans at an affordable cost. Instead of going to the UK and spending £30,000 to get a degree, you can attend the same university through AltSchool for less than £15,000.
Same school, same lecturers, same BSc.
Equal value. Equal access. Local pricing.
I’m officially launching our degree programmes on degree.altschoolafrica.com, and over the next few months, you’ll see more global universities join the AltSchool network.
Welcome to the edX of Africa.

I've got the first working version of the GPUI Shell standalone binary ready. It's now available to install and use!
You can build native desktop apps entirely in JavaScript, without installing Rust, Node.js, or Bun.
Everything you see in this video is written in JavaScript. Not a single line of Rust code, yet all UI is natively rendered by GPUI.

This demo was built with GPT-6.1-Sol to validate the new standalone GPUI Shell binary.
