I did political activism for Bernie Sanders for both his 2016 campaign and heavily for his 2020 campaign. I also was an on paper DSA member and did lots of electoral work for the DSA over the span of 4 years. In just four years between Bernie campaigns, the traditional labor messaging of the left was exchanged and altered for the radical identity centered grievance politics of Third Worlders and Marxists
The ideology of the communist is that of pure cancer, and it has metastasized in the Democratic Party like cancer cells. Communism/socialism are resentment based ideologies that are rooted in a massive ignorance of very basic, fundamental truths about humans. This ideology operates more like a religious belief system than a coherent worldview and crumbles when challenged. This religious belief is adopted and wielded by dangerous, aggrieved people who feel failed by society and wish to use this belief system to mold society into something different.
These communists literally just want to destroy the status quo. That’s it. They literally just want to usher in a violent revolution that makes them feel better about their own insecurities. Nothing more, nothing less. They use language like “universal justice” and “human rights” to cover for the fact that all the blood they want to spill is just designed to make themselves feel better about themselves. Nothing will ever fill whatever voids they have in their souls
