It contains three items, by which we commit ourselves (1) to refrain from short-haul flights up to 1,000 km if the journey can be carried out by alternative means of transport in a maximum of 12 hours, (2) to refrain from medium- and long-haul flights if emission reductions can be achieved by other means or routes of transport or if the purpose of a journey can be achieved in another way, for example through digital communication, with a comparable gain in knowledge or networking, and (3) to justify air travel that cannot be avoided within the framework of the above-mentioned guidelines to the CRC Management Committee in short text form.
