What VSCode extensions or settings do TALL stack @laravelphp developers use/love/recommend? I’ve spent a lot of time working with Laravel (using Vue, Raact, others) but relatively little time working in Blade files. What am I missing as it relates to VSCode specifically?

Specifically seeking anything which might help improve: - syntax highlighting - blade.php formatting - commenting out code using default shortcut (without causing Livewire to freak out and botch rendering)

Much respect to PHPstorm but that is not an avenue I’m interested in exploring (all other day job and side project work in any lang/framework is happily done in VSCode)

ChatGPT changes the game for learning new programming languages or frameworks on the fly. It's easier and more fluid as a companion -vs- multiple stackoverflow or docs tabs open

Starting at least 12 years ago while working at the Apple store in Santa Monica, I’ve always been stoked to see musical creative tools pop up in iOS ecosystem. That being said, none felt like more than a toy. Would ♥️ to have app I reach for to get out ideas. 🤞

This (and threaded tweets) is so well-articulated and perfectly framed. I will do whatever I can to help teach my child to discriminate between genuine “challenges” and workplace dysfunction. In my experience most adults have no idea what the difference is.

Additionally I think a lot of people in the workforce perceive workplace dysfunction to be THE challenge i.e. “understanding the dysfunction is how you climb the ladder”, etc. Eek/yuck.

I feel like people often underestimate the benefits of being generous with sharing credit. I don't try to share credit because of the benefits that accrue (it just seems like the right thing to do) but, even looking at it purely selfishly, I think sharing credit is a huge win.

lol I purposefully removed this turn of phrase from my speaking entirely many years ago. Once you do it, you’ll notice how ridiculous it sounds i.e. “Wait, why would you not be honest?!” Saying “if I’m being honest” weakens your communication more than you might expect.
