Somehow missed this last week: So lovely to see @shakomakoNET's third issue online. Always such a moving read / equally moving artwork

Inspired by #Iraq, our third issue is finally out! In it, we explore a journey often wrought with the stains of exile and displacement, and celebrate how we constantly fight the effacement of who we are. Please read, listen, watch and share. 🔗 shakomako.net
This is the cover image used for our latest issue. It is designed by a talented Berlin based Iraq artist - Arwa Al Demarji.

On #WorldMentalHealthDay, we remind you to say, "shakomako? what's up?" not only to your friends and lovers, who might be regular recipients of your love, but also to the folks you encounter on your way to school, on the bus, in line for a coffee or when drawn to a familiar face.

One of the most amazing outcomes of the #OctoberRevolution in #Iraq has been the emergence of young progressive voices on the Internet. The names are so many that I need to write a piece about this for @shakomakoNET.
