A thread of artwork I commissioned in the last couple of years. If you like the art under this thread, consider commissioned them. I had a great time and they're all professionals who were easy to communicate with and adhered to deadlines. #artidn #commissionwork

Through work, one develops as a person, provides for family needs, expresses one’s own talent, participates in social life, and builds a better world by collaborating in God’s creative work. The real challenge is to offer everyone opportunities to make the most of their abilities. Unemployment, exploitation, and working conditions that endanger health and life itself are unacceptable (Gaudium et Spes, 67). #GeneralAudience
yeah "ao3" and "fic" are going to be muted now. reading people's opinions on writing and writers is so disheartening. it sucks to be reading again and again and again how we should just churn out "content" for the fandom according to demands and take all the shitty treatments with a smile on our faces.
there is this sickness with people chasing clout from fandom spaces, whether they're creators or "fandom movers". some are worshipped, others demonized. everything is so extreme. it's so uncomfortable for me.
the thing is I personally don't really care that much about engagements in my fics. I have fics with less than 5 kudos / 3 comments. I have fics with more than 300. regardless of number of comments/kudos, I write. and I dont promote my fics. I dont share my actual ao3 name. writing is already exhausting for me, I dont have the energy to promote anymore. however, it is NORMAL to want engagement, and I won't demonize writers who promote their fics and do ask for them. It's NOT capitalistic to want to be acknowledged. it is human to want people to say "hey I read this thing your write, thanks for sharing". they dont even ask for compliments. it makes me so angry to see comments accusing writers of enforcing "hierarchy" or "begging for validation". all Ive seen are writes asking to be treated with kindness and respect. we are supposed to be a community.

PLEASE, fellow authors, don't just email the website asking for your fics to be removed. Document EVERYTHING. File DMCA takedown notices with the site's hosting provider, report copyright infringement to its registrar, and contact OTW Legal Advocacy.
