Base is clearly in a different gear right now. Right after the Meme Summit where Jesse was talking about pulling in more traders and communities (and not just waiting around for Coinbase listings), @gmgnai drops a dedicated Base track with real money on the line. $20K for the track winner plus a fast-track into the London finals where someone’s actually driving home a custom Aston Martin Vantage is the kind of incentive that gets people to actually show up and trade, not just post about it. The structure is interesting too, $2K starting capital across wallets, no external top-ups, everything has to go through GMGN, and only realized PnL counts. That levels the field more than most of these competitions usually do. You can’t just ape in with a fat wallet and size your way to the top. You’ve got to manage the bag you have, take profits, and actually close the trades. It rewards the people who are consistently good rather than the ones who just got lucky on size. Still early in the week so i just threw on @BambitzRecords while doing stuff. Started with “We Are One,” then “Wake Up World” hit and I stayed there for a bit. “Coming Alive!” is the one that stuck though. Andy, Sophie, Benny, and Riley have a way of making these tracks feel light and fun without trying too hard. You can actually just play them in the background and they hold up. The #TaskOn sprint is still going too, i’ve been doing the daily spin and letting a couple tracks run while I work. It’s low effort as points stack while the music is already playing, and from what I understand a portion of the actual royalties ends up going toward $BAM buybacks that get burned.
