My daily sharing-from-the-collection practice rolls on as I continue to work my way through the PFPs, community tokens, and assorted artifacts from the communities I’ve been part of over the years. I can’t believe it took me this long to get to Power by Gavin Shapiro. If I keep this up long enough, I will probably end up doing a full month of @shapiro500 art, but Power has to be first. The mechanic is hard to explain succinctly, but essentially Gavin created a token that could be duplicated indefinitely and passed along to friends, and this weird little experiment turned into one of my favorite communities I’ve been part of here. I somehow took on the role of de facto community manager (or more accurately, the PowerBot 🤖did), trying to track the ever-expanding collection, welcome new holders into the Discord, and generally relish in the POWER💥. It was ridiculous and extremely fun, and I miss it. Maybe someday the POWER rises again. Until then, the penguins keep dancing.

A break from the PFP/community tour, but after yesterday’s Power post I have to highlight @shapiro500's Meaning #7. In the original Power vs. Meaning auction, we were supposed to choose. Some people chose both. I chose Power. But I clearly needed a little Meaning in my life too. After about six months, I finally managed to acquire #7. There are only eight Meanings, and happily, #7 is still the only one that has ever moved. It won’t again.
