This link is definitely "unsafe" and will "lead to real-world harm" to the billionaires trying to profit off the ecological crisis. But their safety has been killing us for far too long, so read it and make sure all your friends do too. bit.ly/3MoTlyc

Whiteness arose in the framework of colonialism as a tool vital to the expansion of capitalism. Nowadays, many of those who claim to be anti-racist are in fact updating whiteness to help capitalism, the police, and the State survive. PDF or online read: detritusbooks.com/pages/whit…

probably a bit late sharing this. we started a radical communal land project, one hour away from Lisbon. we re funding the collectivisation of the land through long term loans from comrades and still need 10k euros to go. here's more info. pls share :) cloud.coletivos.org/s/NA3rLk…

i wish we could move past meaningless statist terminology like "rights" within our struggles. it feels like a bunch of plastic carrots being dangled above our heads to lure us into wasting energy and shift or focus into actually challenging and dismantling oppressive structures.
1
i went off to look for this almighty rights. it turns out that most of them are quite vague and self referenced like "indigenous peoples have the same rights has everyone else". even the most material ones end up being a facade cause it's a nonbinding UN resolution. a suggestion.

rights are -quite recent- imaginary concepts handed out by the oppressor. they aren't actual power or safety. they're dummies. even with a mechanism to enforce them, it would still rely on the oppressor's goodwill. the hostage-taker. the same ones that commit genocide & ecocide.
once again, the state government via wildlife institute is pushing to do things against the people. unsurprised, but enfuriating nonetheless. the people don't need these projects, the people don't need these systems of governance. we know what is best for us. we don't want coal.
Why should this make us angry? Thousands of villagers are still actively fighting against the double-tracking project that will bring destruction to their homes and villages. Importantly, the CEC has clearly found no justification for the railway project through #Mollem.

"having a movement where people are afraid to make mistakes is not advantageous to growth. And we are poised for - and need - massive growth." This essay from @homeandfreedom seems useful to start discussions in groups about movement dynamics we are all complaining about.
“Belonging can motivate people to take risks, make hard growth seem worth it, and give people staying power they didn't know they had. …I want to paint a picture for you of what it was like to join social justice movements before internet culture.” aprilrosenblum.com/longgameb…

a friend once told me something like "Democracy is a shit unjust system, but it's the best we'll ever have." aside from the faulty westernised idea of linear progress, what is worse than to recognise your own chains, just so to then admit that you and your cellmates deserve them?
