We've been hearing from one paramedic in South Wales about a life of frustrations and fear, and dealing with a deadly virus that, even now, many people don't take seriously.

Someone dialled 999 because they couldn’t sleep, while another called for a pigeon with an injured wing. A person with toothache and someone with onion juice in their eye were also among the inappropriate calls we've had this year. Full list revealed 👉 bit.ly/33cFDXE

Last night one of our emergency ambulance's was stolen from the Shotton area of Flintshire, whilst the crew were treating a patient at their home address.
The theft of an emergency ambulance is an extremely irresponsible act.

Today we are making another plea to the public not to call 999 for Covid-19 tests and check-ups.
Our crews do not, and never have, carried tests for Coronavirus.
Please listen to the advice from our Director of Operations, Lee Brooks👇

Our Director of Operations @_LeeBrooks has issued a plea to the public for honesty during the Covid-19 outbreak 👇
Some members of the public have been withholding info about their illness when calling 111 or 999.
This is putting our crews at risk.

Calling for an ambulance does not mean a speedy pathway. If your illness or injury is minor, you will wait longer for an ambulance whilst we attend to those in real life-threatening emergencies. #BeWiseSaveLives could you make your own way to hospital?
Michelle Morgan retweeted
Remember that if you can safely get a lift to hospital then take the lift. You will not be seen quicker if you get taken to A&E via ambulance. You will have to wait for us and then have to wait at A&E. #999wise
