Wedding?
Completed it mate!
Thank you to everyone who gave me advice on how to properly wear my medal 🎖️
Us: *Watching video about a 12 litre aperol spritz you can get in naples*
Wife: "We should go to Italy."
"What? Because you've seen the spritz. You've never mentioned Italy before."
"We can go and get that spritz!"
"What so you and [girlfriend] drink 6 litres each and I'm meant to carry you home?"
"It's good motivation for your gym!!"
"How much do you both even weigh?"
"It's ok [girlfriend's man] can carry her!"
"So you and [girlfriend] drink it all and we both carry you home!?"
"..."
"..."
Wife: "Drink responsibly!
We drink, and you are responsible!"
Please stop going on about this now
Modders have unlocked hidden AI compute performance on NVIDIA’s RTX 20, 30 and 40-series GPUs.
The modifications remove software-level limits on certain Tensor Core operations, without changing the hardware or flashing a new VBIOS.
- RTX 4090: 165.6 → 331.6 TFLOPS FP16 Tensor Core throughput
-RTX 3090 Ti: 87.5 → 157.4 TFLOPS BF16 performance
- RTX 2080 Ti: 59.9 → 111 TFLOPS FP16→FP32 performance
- RTX 3090: 73.0 → 122.8 TFLOPS in a PyTorch GEMM test
The gains are mainly relevant to AI and compute workloads, not gaming.
‼️ Tailscale SSH Flaws Could Let Hackers Gain Root Access Across Servers
Details: cybersecuritynews.com/tailsc…
A new security report warns that Tailscale SSH has flaws that could let a hacker move from one compromised device to root access on other servers. Tailscale SSH lets approved devices log in to each other over a private network. The report lists 11 findings in five groups.
They cover Tailscale’s SSH server, its serve and app connector features, the DERP relay client, and headscale, an open-source server that manages Tailscale networks.
The researcher tested Tailscale 1.104.2 and headscale 0.29.5 between October 22 and October 24, 2026. The most serious group involves Tailscale SSH. Its SSH server runs inside tailscaled, a background program with full root privileges on the machine.

Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The flaws require an already-approved device in the Tailscale network with SSH rules permitting access/forwarding; they enable post-compromise lateral movement and escalation inside the tailnet, not unauthenticated remote access from outside.

The local new "Fish and Chips 🇬🇧" place that just opened near me is so lacklustre - it's like the people running it have appropriated my own culture in my own country. It's bizzare.
It's like the food equivalent of those tourist tat shops in central London. So disappointing.
If you want 🇬🇧 food in S London so far best place I've been to is the Tea House Theatre in Vauxhall.
They don't just have a full English and afternoon tea, they also have full Scottish, Welsh, N. Irish, dozens of teas, great cakes, roasts, and more.
THEY'RE DOING IT!
They're making a centre for National Exposure and Realtime Vulnerability (NERV)
Replying to @KanishkaNarayan
3/7 We're also investing £120m more in @AISecurityInst, £60m in a new National Cyber Shield and £70m in a new National Exposure and Real-Time Vulnerability (NERV) Centre.
These investments will strengthen our ability to understand AI risks, identify cyber vulnerabilities and protect critical infrastructure.
This is normally hype, so I tested it on my 4090 and 2x3090s in nvlink. 600w and 2x400w power limits.
3090 BF16 matmul: 76 → 126 TFLOPS
3090 TF32: 40 → 68
4090 TF32: 91 → 160
4090 BF16: 160 → 161
Qwen3.8-27B on 2x 3090, prefill: 2,304 → 3,272 toks
decode: 103 → 101 toks

If you don't have 4-digit prefill and 3-digit decode there's not really much point.

That's funny because at my last strategy meeting with my accountant, they informed me I must use HMRC-recognised Making Tax Digital compatible software, creating an oligopoly for firms like Xero.
I must now also report my company's income every three months rather than once a year, as well as a final report at year end.
So I now have to pay for a Xero subscription.
And pay my accountant more for the increased submissions.
And fuck about with reconciling every three months, rather than once a year.
For HMRC to end up with the same amount of income from me as before.
Fuck off.
Just fuck off.
Fuck off all the way back to Yorkshire, then fuck off some more.

Hey did you know this about @thetrainline, who happen to be the largest train ticket seller here in the UK

The cyberpocalypse is going to hit British politics like an asteroid. So many people have heads buried so far in the sand (just look at what Parliament spends its time discussing...)
More importantly: it utterly floods the police with nonsense that they are powerless to stop.
Officers on the scene - even supervisors - are overriden by civilians in far-away offices requiring them to prove negatives in order to conclude that something didn't happen.
Combine this with "Wasting police time" being de-facto un-prosecutable because they have to prove that *at the point of reporting* that the reporter *did not genuinely believe* a crime was taking place.
Franz Kafka couldn't have written something more absurd.
Now combine it with insufficient manpower and overly-onerous bureaucracy and horribly inefficient administration and IT UX.
And they can't form a union or engage in any collective action at all.
And you end up with the actual police quite literally being unable to do their job.
Forget defunding or defanging. They've been smothered to death by our malignant bureaucratic class. Much like everyone else trying to do anything not on paper - doctors, builders, police, etc etc
"Every regulation is written in blood and tears" yeah well now they're costing oceans of the stuff.
Either provision efficiently for the bureaucracy you've imposed, or roll it back because it's doing more harm than good. Make a decision or get out of the way.
Miller v Home Secretary
“A belief by the victim, or person reasonably assumed to be acting on behalf of the victim, that a crime has occurred is usually sufficient to justify its recording” (Crime Recording Rules)
This line, relied upon by @LincsPolice, allows the vexatious litigant to point the finger and create a crime, a suspect and criminal record. As I know.
It’s so simple. Even a semi-literate vexatious nobody can use it. As I told the House of Lords on Wednesday.
