📣Our exclusive with @The19thNews is out on @NWDefenseLeague's new report. @edavidsontribbs and I sat down with @grace_panetta to talk about the research and the state of the #MeToo movement. Topline: We are just getting started.
Exclusive: new research from @NWDefenseLeague, shared first with The 19th, has tracked 30 allegations of workplace sexual misconduct against members of Congress made since 2006 — a number the report’s authors say is likely 3-4x higher in reality 19thnews.org/2026/04/sexual-…

It's becoming clear that the manosphere doesn't understand how journalism or the legal system works on a fundamental level. These women provided corroborating evidence strong enough to overcome the legal review at major publications, which could have been sued for printing unsubstantiated claims. If Platner truly believed these claims to be defamatory, he could have sent cease-and-desist letters or sued 1) me 2) the outlets or 3) the women. None of that has happened. If you're upset that we're back in a world where we fight for women and refuse to elect predators, you're going to have to get used to it because we're just getting started.
This is the return of the #MeToo standard, which is to reflexively “believe women” and to render judgement without any investigation, scrutiny, critical faculty, or criminal trial—in short, the accusation is the evidence. It was bad then, and bad now. Don’t let them revive it.

The overwhelming amount of hate against women - a complete and total disregard for their safety and autonomy - is being normalized across parties.

This is so, so powerful. "We say we believe women. What we usually mean is that we believe women when it is cheap."
Opinion: I Dated Graham Platner. I Believe Jenny Racicot and Lyndsey Fifield.

Hear me out…
Since we’re having such a hard time finding male candidates without a history of abuse, sexual assault, or rape maybe it’s time we started electing more women.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but saying you need a glute massage is not an invitation for rape. White male leftist commentators continue to prove they are no better than their maga counterparts.

Kavanaugh hearings-level crashing out over how bad some of these Graham Platner takes are. If you are a man posting about how women experience report, and talk about sexual assault, you might want to go outside and think about how your words impact others.

This was the most disingenuous self serving speech of hubris I’ve ever seen in my life — no accountability & blaming the women like they were all making it up. Platner you sound like Trump. Thankfully Americans now believe women — a testament to the hard work of this movement.
Breaking News: Graham Platner, the Democratic nominee for Senate in Maine, suspended his campaign under intense pressure from all corners of his party after a woman accused him of rape.

I just want to send my love to all the victims of sexual violence who are having to relive their trauma by watching people on both sides of the political spectrum make excuses for rapists and shame victims. As a survivor, I see you.

idk how anyone can read how men typically respond to women talking about being sexually assaulted and then be confused as to why women wouldn't want to go tell a bunch of men in law enforcement.

True vindication for Genevieve McDonald, who tried to warn us all about Platner and was routinely mocked/dismissed. She had nothing to gain by coming forward against her former boss, and everything to lose.
There are so few levers for survivors to pull. Journalists are often their only path to justice. This part usually goes unseen but it is so important. Thank you @tarapalmeri for articulating the nuance & imperatives so well—& for working w/ survivors to tell their stories.
Why did I have a bad feeling about Graham Platner before many others did? Because from my first sexual assault investigation before #MeToo to years reporting on Jeffrey Epstein alongside Virginia Giuffre, I’ve learned one lesson: silence is often the first chapter—not the last.

Let’s be serious: the rape allegations against Graham Platner should not be a surprise to anyone. I’m so tired of people shrugging off men’s abuse in the name of political expediency—it’s not only morally wrong, it will always come to bite you in the ass.

.@mainebeerbrewer writes: “If you use bad grain or dirty water in a brewery, the beer turns out terrible. Politics is no different. When the system relies on wrong inputs, like a lack of accountability and a toxic self-preservation culture, the results for everyday people are always wrong.” open.substack.com/pub/dankle…

@NWDL stands with Jenny Racicot & all survivors who came forward to share their experiences of sexual abuse & harassment by Platner. We recognize the extraordinary courage it takes—especially when the person accused holds power, influence and a political platform.

On the campaign trail, the courage of survivors should be met w/ action by the political ecosystem–parties, organizations & figureheads should take action so we don’t promote another credibly accused abuser into office. The political machine has a responsibility here.
