BC's Premier Designate @LDoerkson says he is eager to begin diving into the state of the province's finances and the $13.8 billion deficit. Speaking to CBC News this am Doerkson says "I am concerned the deficit is even larger than we know or think".

Shoutout to journalists like @HaneyInkslinger @BenLypka @sthomas10 @TomZillich @Tarnjitkparmar who worked their asses off on election night covering the BC election. I am on vacation so watched from afar as they sweated out the night and (likely) ate cold pizza.
As a journalist, I once covered Adrian Dix when he ran for premier. I didn’t think anyone could run a worse campaign — then David Eby came along and asked ol’ Adrian to hold his beer.
Just a generational fumble. Incoherent. Incompetent. Stepping on every rake possible.
Because of the snap election call, @ElectionsBC says it will need to hand-count some ballots cast Saturday.
This means it could take longer than in 2024 to get a final result.
