I use @shipstudio_app every single day - but lately, I've been feeling like something is missing.
Agentic work has freed me in so many ways - more than ever, my time goes to planning and decision making, and less of my time is stuck at a computer.
However, until now, I have had 2 options for agentic work;
1. Use the powerful local coding agents (Claude Code, Codex, local models) at my desk, or
2. Use less powerful agents from my phone (ie GrokBot)
Until today!
Now, you can turn on remote access in Ship Studio - this allows you to use any agent you want (GrokBot, Muse, you name it) to control your local projects in Ship Studio.
So - start working on your computer, pick it up from your phone, then launch from your computer!
So excited to see this in action. Live now!!

Well, it's that time again...
@thenativeagency is once again growing, and we're looking for +1 cracked design engineer who can hang with the likes of myself, @BradfordHuber4, and @eldardiz.
If you have taste, know how technology works, communicate like a pro, and want to work with a team who is steering the market rather than being at the mercy of it - apply now.

@shipstudio_app tabs are now flexible!
you can move all the tabs around to fit your unique workflows - and save it across all projects, or keep it unique to each one.
thanks to @martincrandon for this incredible feature!!!

@shipstudio_app isn't another agentic site builder. It's a bentobox.

Just in time for Monday, @shipstudio_app v1.2 is live!
Here's what's new in the past 48h;
Photo 1 - Breakpoint canvas: View any page in a Figma-like canvas. Works with the visual editor, of course!
Photo 2 - Comments: Pin comments to elements and send them directly do your agent!
Photo 3 - Element breadcrumb for the visual editor: Quickly select elements in a tree. Thanks to @martincrandon for this!
Enjoy the updates, and have a great week!!
I've got some client work for @thenativeagency to get to now 💪

And along with that comes a new feature I am SO excited for you to try... introducing, Workflows!
This opens up so many possibilities not only for agentic building, but also agentic marketing.
So excited to see what you build with this feature, and to evolve it accordingly.
For Mac users, @shipstudio_app is now a one-click install!

A lot of people ask me how to "migrate a site to Ship Studio".
Just wanted to explain quickly.
You don't. @shipstudio_app is a local editing environment for custom builds of any kind, from @astrodotbuild websites to @expo mobile apps.
So - if your site is locked away in something proprietary, you have to migrate it to custom code, and then, you can then build agentically and/or visually in Ship Studio, or any other app!

ship.studio just got a facelift and officially launched version 1.0.0 🚀
Ship Studio has been my daily driver for claude code & agentic development over the last 6 months, and the product just keeps better.
It's even cooler that it's 100% open source and free.
Huge shout out to @martincrandon for leading out the design on 1.0! night and day difference! 🙏

The new variables tab in @shipstudio_app is gorgeous, and really captures WHY I love this tool.
Agents do everything now, it's no secret. I love Ship Studio because it's the visual interface which shows me WHAT the agent is doing.

i’ve launched 3 sites + a mobile app, all through ship studio
it’s an amazing tool, check it out if you haven’t already
So... it's official!
Ship Studio is officially a grown up, and is out of beta (v1.0)
@shipstudio_app was conceived in January with a vision for the future of the web.
What started as a little prototype quickly became my daily driver.
Then the rest of my team.
Then thousands of other freelancers and agencies.
At the core, the focus has always been simplicity - and leaving the hard work to the incredible, enterprise-grade tools loved by our community, such as @github, @vercel, and @sanity_io.
This, combined with no incentives beyond just creating a really sick tool, has allowed a small team of contributors to build an open-source project which powers sites ranging from restaurants to Fortune 500 companies.
If you're already a believer, enjoy the new UX, done by @martincrandon, an incredible member of the community who, all on his own, took the vision of Ship Studio, and created a truly refined user experience far beyond what I'd ever be able to make.
And if you haven't tried Ship Studio yet, but you don't want to wait for the workflows of the future, now is a great time to start 🚢💚

@shipstudio_app just hit 700 users in Slack 🚀
It's been amazing to see the growth of this tool, as just over a month ago there was only 200 of us in there.
I was one of the first users of Ship Studio, and since trying it back in February it's been one of the biggest tools in my workflow. I can't use Claude Code without it.
It's been so cool to see how this growth has almost perfectly aligned with the time that it was Open Sourced. There's now over 50 members of the community contributing to improve Ship Studio everyday.
I'm more bullish then ever on Open Source software going forward, it's so cool to see the community build and improve Ship Studio to be the best tool FOR the collective community, and even better that it'll remain free forever.
