Proud to be part of a journey that is changing lives.
For @thalindia, it was a moment of immense pride to be part of the @CoalIndiaHQ CSR celebration at Le Meridien, New Delhi, recognising the impact of Thalassemia Bal Seva Yojana (TBSY) and Nanha Sa Dil.
As the coordinating partner for TBSY, we have had the privilege of participating and witnessing this initiative grow into a powerful movement of hope—helping children with thalassemia access life-saving treatment and giving families a chance to look beyond the disease.
What makes this journey truly special is the children themselves. Children who once faced an uncertain future are now cured, empowered and dreaming of a life beyond thalassemia.
Every child who receives a transplant, every family that finds hope, and every young life given a healthier future reminds us why this work matters.
We are deeply grateful to @CoalIndiaHQ, the @CoalMinistry, healthcare partners, transplant centres and every individual who has contributed to this remarkable journey.
TBSY is more than a CSR initiative. It is a testament to what sustained commitment and collective action can achieve—turning hope into healing, and healing into new beginnings.

@thalindia successfully convened the Madhya Pradesh Hemoglobinopathy: State Level Consultation Meeting 2026, bringing together policymakers, healthcare experts, clinicians, researchers, patient advocates, and civil society representatives to strengthen prevention, early diagnosis, and comprehensive care for hemoglobinopathies.
Organised under the banner of the @NHM_MP, with the support of the National Health Institute (NHI), PATH as the Knowledge Partner, and @NascoGroup, the consultation fostered meaningful dialogue on collaborative strategies for prevention, treatment, and patient-centred care.
The event commenced with a warm welcome by Mr. Deepak Chopra, President, @thalindia, who set the context for the consultation by highlighting the importance of collective action, stronger partnerships, and a unified approach towards addressing the challenges of hemoglobinopathies in the state.
We were honoured by the presence of Shri @rshuklabjp, Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister & Health Minister, Government of Madhya Pradesh, whose participation reinforced the shared vision of "संकल्प से समाधान"—transforming commitment into lasting solutions.
This was followed by an inspiring address from Mrs. @shobhatuli, who congratulated Dr. Ruby Khan for the remarkable progress made in strengthening hemoglobinopathy care and services across Madhya Pradesh. Dr. Ruby Khan also presented an insightful overview of the work being carried out in the state.
We were privileged to have Dr. Dipti Jain, Dr. Jyoti Kotwal, and @DrRahulBhargav1 as expert speakers, whose valuable insights enriched the discussions. @DrAtulKotwal, @ICMRDELHI , joined the consultation virtually from Delhi, highlighting key challenges and outlining the way forward for strengthening hemoglobinopathy prevention and care in India.
Civil society representatives also shared important concerns regarding blood availability, blood safety, and other critical aspects of patient care and management, making the consultation truly inclusive and action-oriented.
Together, we remain committed to building stronger partnerships and advancing a future where every individual affected by hemoglobinopathies receives timely, quality care.

Every drop of blood should bring hope. Never fear.
Today, on World Hepatitis Day, we want to remind everyone that for thousands of people living with thalassemia, blood transfusions are not a choice—they are a lifeline.
A child with thalassemia may need blood every 2–4 weeks. But blood must not only be available—it must also be safe.
Screening every donated unit with advanced testing, promoting voluntary blood donation, and strengthening blood safety systems can protect patients from transfusion-transmitted infections like hepatitis B and C.
On this World Hepatitis Day, let's pledge to make every transfusion a safe one.
Donate blood. Demand safe screening. Protect every life.
