They couldnt use my cash on a bike path people actually want as no time to get it sorted before the 3/27 deadline for the funds to be deployed. That is why they took easy option thinking "how badly could we cock up a path in a park"? They then managed to in a spectacular fashion.

It takes something special to get the cycle cranks and the anti cycling nutters to agree on anything - they are all opposed to the daft park path. And now we have the badgers lovers on the council's case.

Oh dear. Yeah CarraKev got the CRSTS 1 funding for his bike path early ahead of the March 27 "use it or lose it deadline". But WECA are not as daft as they look - they covered their arse with a clawback in case Bathnes cocked it up.

The Council @bathnes needs to take a serious look at its approach to traffic management and start employing officers who understand how to keep traffic moving, rather than introducing measures that make an already bad situation even worse. You have got this wrong @bathnesld

@WestofEnglandCA leaders, including Bath Lib Dem Kevin Guy, laughing while stripping the public’s right to ask follow-up questions is disgusting. Transparency in the constitution, contempt in practice. Drop dead. #WECA #Bath #Bristol #SouthGlos #NESomerset

I'm sure the anonymous person who went to the new @bathnes legal chief and crushed discussion about Wessex Water wasn't put up to it by anyone at WECA, including an unelected "Director of Place" who had recently met with Wessex Water owners YTL on a 3 day trip to KL.

If you live in #Bath and want to see how Kevin Guy rolled over and ignored the audit and scrutiny cttee’s recommendations, here it is. £19,300 well spent by @WestofEnglandCA! With imperfect sound, I fear.

Do some maths Wera.
A single rain shower of 5 mm on to a typical 50 sqm roof will fill a 200-litre water butt to the top. And anyway, the butt will already be full from yesterday afternoon's shower. A butt provides 0% storm attenuation once it is full.
Daft.

Do I think there are some in the council (elected and unelected) that would deliberately divert resources to push ahead with works because they knew the park decision was dodgy? The aim being to get in a position where there no turning back?
Absolutely. Yes.

Never mind that someone might walk from City Hall to @westofenglandCA (10 mins at the most) for a 1pm meeting, why Tony Dyer was not at the Weca leaders cttee is a mystery. Surely not because he didn’t want to be seen to voting against transparency and public accountability?
