The Giants used “22” personnel (2 RBs, 2 TE’s) on 22 snaps against the Texans. They picked up 188 yards (8.95 yards per play) and 3 touchdowns on those plays.
Matt Nagy/Greg Roman also did a great job of setting up plays out of that personnel grouping.
The big play to Thomas Fidone for 29 yards was play-action out of 22 personnel. They also used their tush push formation and the use of multiple sneaks earlier in the game to set up Skattebo for a 19 yard gain out of that look.
Then they pummeled the Texans down the stretch with that big personnel grouping and ran the ball all over them (8 carries, 99 yards, 2 TD’s in the 4th quarter and overtime):

Ed Ingram got credited half a tackle on this play.
Disjointed offense. Ingram gets occupied at the LOS, which messes up the timing, which leads to Noel and Ingram making contact and derailing the play.

“The Texans have allowed 29 completions of 20+ yards. That is tied for the worst in the NFL.”

Cade Stover was called for unnecessary roughness on his block on the Giants kicker. How?

Texans defense since 2024:
Fewest goal-to-go drives allowed
Then 44 TDs on 49 of them

For weeks now, I’ve talked about the backs leaving a chunk of yardage out of the field by running straight into the teeth of the defense.
It’s a part of the problem.

If Braden isn’t starting next game, I cannot take this team seriously. Move Trent to LT.
