With the market rising and showing green candles fast, we're bound to see an influx of new projects establishing themselves in the #web3 space. 🔥
One of the core things project teams do if they launch a token is prepare the #vesting schedule, a.k.a. a timeline of when their tokens will be released and to whom. 💰
Here are a few reasons why vesting should receive proper attention when constructing it:
▫️ Vesting acts as a precautionary measure. Quite often a sizeable pool of tokens is sold before IDOs for fundraising purposes. To prevent any quick sell-offs that could put the whole project and its investors at risk, vesting schedules allow smart and timely token releases. 🗝️
▫️ Based on a simple supply-demand curve, if a market is oversaturated with the supply of a particular token at a given time, the price drastically decreases since there is insufficient demand to absorb. Hence, vesting saves the day for sustainable #token price action. 🪙
▫️ Rewarding loyalty is also one of the reasons vesting schedules exist. The team usually has its own share in the token supply but on many occasions, they're the last to receive them after an unlock. 🔓
A healthy vesting schedule is a green flag to the web3 space. 👏
