We just opened reservations for the Poppy device.
Built so future generations won't need a subscription plan to be able to think.
$30 reserves your spot in line. Fully refundable.

Ayo, edtech is getting hot
JUST IN: Google announces schools that completely ban AI will also lose access to Google Search.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Google have just added tighter controls: “controls for Gemini, Gemini Notebook, Gemini in Classroom, and Google Search - access to these products will be entirely off for K-12 student accounts until school administrators explicitly turn them on.”

whut, is this a new thing? I did this last year lol
I gave Inspect a "give_feedback" tool a couple of weeks so we can collect a bunch of automated feedback based on the model getting tripped up, or manual feedback.
I have an automation that runs every 10 minutes, triages the feedback, and either automatically fixes it, marks it as a feature request for a human to look at, or close it as "not a bug".
It's so useful because it takes a lot of cognitive load off of the team while continuously improving itself.
Its beautiful! My agent likes it
Pond, our linux operating system, is now available for anyone to try!

Excited for this
What if you could change device behaviour, just by talking to it?
Create an app. Change it. Edit it. Add personal context. Then completely reinvent what the device is for.
WORKS is our limited release of the first ever Promptable Products - physical devices inhabited by AI agents that understand what you want and do what you mean.
WORKS launch in November 2026.
This is a demo (using a ESP32 device from @M5Stack) showing one possible experience you can create.
We’re building @inanimate_tech in public.
Jump in, it's gonna be weird.
Liquid Glass has achieved the original brand promise of @nothing better than they ever did
develop vs provide vs build a moat
🚀 Introducing DeepInfer, our in-house inference framework, now fully open source!
Powering DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash at scale with high throughput and low latency. We’re sharing our production stack to help the community lower compute costs, reduce energy use, and make AI more affordable.

Cause of the memory shortage finally made sense
Ok hear me out, upcoming Macs are rumored to have a 512GB RAM (!) option. What if we just made a machine that ditched main memory? It'd be a herculean effort, plus making RAM non-volatile would suck in many ways, but fixable through AI at writing time or runtime, maybe better suited for a new generation of OSes
The giant upsides are tremendous low-level kernel + software simplifications, no more disk roundtrip, 100x throughput without caching, etc? Imagine ditching file system in favor of pure in-mem data (still standardizable at the boundary) then spill the rest to cloud like today
