The painting was done in 1954. https://www.wikiart.org/en/john-bratby/still-life-with-chip-frier-1954

ALT The oil painting is divided top to bottom into three sections. On the left is shown a sash window looking out onto a garden fence and a neighbouring house. On the window sill are three empty flower pots. Below the window is a white Belfast sink with hanging tea towels. This section is separated from the middle section by a vertical white tiled wall. In the middle section is the kitchen stove flanked by a coal scuttle and various water pipes. The stove has one oven door at the top with two fireplace doors below. This middle section is divided from the section on the right by an open green pantry door. The pantry on the right has three shelves laden with various food packages above, on the floor, an open bag of potatoes. The painting was done in 1966. https://www.wikiart.org/en/john-bratby/kitchen-ii-1966
