It's live! Congrats to everyone that helped get this done: core devs, the research team, validators, marketing, comms and a special shout out to the 🐐 @Ashwinningg

We still have a good amount of stake on v4.3.0. Make sure to upgrade to v4.3.2 as soon as possible. See solana.com/upgrades/alpenglo… for my info.
Added a client check to this and the results are less than ideal for activation in less than 2 days.
Validators - it's go time:
- Move to an Agave based client - preferably 4.3.2
- Fund your vote account with at least 0.8 SOL
- Make sure you set your BLS pubkey
If you need help, please reach out to us on the Solana Tech Discord.

Validators, Alpenglow is almost here, activating epoch 1064 (Oct 21st ~15:00 UTC)!
Make sure to:
- Upgrade to an agave based release v4.3.2
- Turn off your vote mods
- Fund your vote account with enough sol to cover the VAT (0.82+ SOL)

You can't have your customers and compete with your customers, too. 🍰
Found a @solana arbitrage bot making ~$52k/day over 34 days :)
→ Live since Sep 4, running its own on chain program
→ ~23k txs/day; ~60% revert as it rejects unprofitable trades
→ 15,616 SOL (~$1.76M) swept to its payout wallet in 34 days
Axiom shows $11M profit in 30 days
I traced the on chain money flow: closer to ~$1.6M over that same period

alpenglow, a complete consensus rewrite for solana, went from whitepaper to testnet in ~1.5 years? and to mainnet within the next few weeks? on a ~$75B network?
no one ships like solana

Trailing Stops are now live on Pacifica
A new advanced order type that automatically follows price as it moves in your favor, helping you lock in gains without setting a fixed exit.
Here’s how it works 🧵

For an adversarial leader it is unless the batch fills the entire block?
they can just enable searchers to sandwich the batch within the block as from what I’ve read there is nothing stopping a custom node from doing so.
With all the slot lagging & validator shenanigans it seems most likely this is where it will end up unless it’s a full block per batch?

🚨ATTENTION: large transactions have hit the testnet
explorer.solana.com/tx/5Kxbx…
Max transaction size is growing by more than 3x
A new transaction format, Transaction V1 (SIMD-0385), activates on testnet at epoch 1025 raising the transaction size limit from 1,232 to 4,096 bytes.
Use cases like ZK proofs, large multisigs, BLS signatures, and confidential transfers that required multiple transactions now fit in one atomic operation.
In addition to larger max transaction size, Transaction V1 configures transaction resource requests (such as priority fee) in the new V1 header instead of using compute budget instructions.
Transaction V1 is opt-in. Legacy (the original format) and V0 (the format that added address lookup tables) remain supported. Existing apps continue working as is, and can adopt V1 on their own timeline.
RPC operators: update to v4.2.2 or v4.3.0-beta.3 to serve the larger size.

DeFi Dev Corp is once again lagging slots. They stopped briefly for ~1 epoch, then resumed under a new, unnamed identity and with 400k SOL more in stake.
You are not shaming them enough.

Inflation reducing, slot times shrinking, rent is going down. It’s time for $SOL to shine and even more importantly time for Solana the network to thrive.
