Some datasets fight you the whole way, broken formulas, inconsistent formats, an insight that refuses to show itself no matter how many times you pivot the table. It's tempting to quit before the breakthrough.
Most analysts who give up on a messy dataset were closer to the insight than they realized. Persistence is a technical skill, not just a personality trait.
Don't give up on the dataset. The season hasn't ended yet.
