2 things from Schár tell all. Vertical football = get the ball forward fast with high energy.
1. Schár, who is good at this, hits the long pass, no one’s running.
2. Great pro ignores instructions sent from boss.
The team is not buying in to the coach’s system.
And there we go, from “we go 4th if we win” to knocking on the relegation trapdoor to 7th.
It’s mental this football malarkey.
Take care travelling to Palace today. These winds are mental.
A word of encouragement to those fearing another embarrassment, it’s not Monday Night Football.
Now how did that old chant go when MOTD cameras were at SJP
SHOOT clap clap clap SHOOT, clap clap clap
Repeat
Too many people forget this, from 70/80s, or too young & don’t know the history.
Though it was never really “Hey Jude.” The track was never played for the fans to sing along to and it was just “Geordies”
Replying to @NUFCThreatLevel
We used to be the only fans singing to Hey Jude long before Brentford's orchestrated hijack.
Villa being smart here. Throw themselves down constantly. Ted falling for it.
McGinn throws himself in J7 & gets the free kick, knows exactly what he’s doing. Huge grin on his face. Looking to get Joe a second yellow
Spot on this.

So, vertical football.
It worked to an extent. The number of times we got in behind, particularly the 1st half, if we had a striker/forwards who could finish the game would’ve been out of sight at half time & SlySports have time round up would’ve been drooling.
But we didn’t.
See, I don’t think he’s got the message across yet. That break didn’t help. A lot of confidence to be built in a very young new team, learning to play together, on the job, in the PL.
Things need to improve but we do need to give them time. Might get worse before better. Gulp
Watching U13s this morning. Not a cheat in sight.
Young lads enjoying learning the game.
Very refreshing
Looking at ‘Heed situation takes me back to this from July.
Many of our lower tier clubs struggle for cash. If they try to climb the ladder they meet higher costs.
The int break is almost over, would be a great opportunity to support your local non-league grass roots side.

A final message from Nasser Hussain on the day Mark Wood retired from international cricket ❤️🗣️
P5: L1: pts 8
I’d have taken that on opening day.
It has been the prettiest start ever, but we’ve reached a long break in a decent position.
3 weeks for MJ to work on tactics, hopefully get someone, anyone, fit.
Then see what happens in October.
