Build a workflow for your team to automate documentation and release note generation.
A half day of work that can 10x that throughout the year.
Built by @skillsengine product and design on Replit Teams
You're wasting time and money if you're still writing support docs and release notes by hand.
A simple AI automation tool/workflow that every startup should consider—demo transcript → support docs and release notes.
We built and deployed this for @skillsengine in half a day using @Replit, @streamlit, and @OpenAI. How it works:
Video Demo → to Support Docs & Release Notes
1. When a new feature ships, the lead designer uses @loom to record a descriptive video demo of the new feature or improvement.
2. They copy the transcript generated by Loom into our custom @Streamlit app.
3. Using templates we provide our app converts the transcript text into a formatted "How-to" document for the Support Center and "Release Notes" bullet points.
4. Download the outputs as markdown files (now supported by Google).
Result: We no longer spend time writing support docs or release notes—a previously tedious, distracting, and flow-killing tasks for everyone involved.
Bonus points if you give AI access to read your code, and write technical specs for you.
---
It's this kind of basic knowledge tasks that should be low hanging fruit for all organizations to automate.
At minimum, AI should eliminate the repetitive knowledge tasks that really only serve to manipulate and convert information between formats and contexts (e.g. converting demos into 'how-tos' and release notes).
The data only needs to be created once—AI can then be your context converter and content manipulator.

It’s not everyday that one of your favorite software companies (@Replit) takes notice of your work and wants to share it with the world as part of their latest feature launch.
This week Replit, the coding tool I use daily, launched their newest Teams feature to the public.
Our @SkillsEngine product design team was lucky enough to be invited to join in the early beta of Replit Teams, and we’re loving it.
With Replit we’ve built production apps, prototypes, workflow automations, and data processing systems that never would have otherwise been possible without sacrificing valuable engineering time and roadmap.
In short, we're building more, faster than ever before. And Replit plays a big role in that transformation.
Thank you to the @Replit team, @amasad, @HayaOdeh, @Jeff_Burke14, and everyone else involved for telling our story and helping make our work possible.
You can read more about how our team is putting Replit to work in their latest blog post:
blog.replit.com/skillsengine…
We just saw a massive acceleration in Replit's mission.
We've always talked about how anyone can code, but the data never really reflected that... until now.
When companies started adopting Repit, we found that 50% of users are NOT “engineers.” So what are they doing with it?
We saw:
- Marketing teams build competitive analysis tools
- Finance writes complex data analysis scripts
- Designers bring prototypes to life
- Sales engineers rapidly solving customer problems
- Product Managers shipping *production* software!
I can't think of a single knowledge work department that is not represented in the data.
So how did this happen?
Since ChatGPT came out, many technical people have brushed up on their coding skills. With Replit Teams, they have found that they can ditch a hodgepodge of tools in favor of good ol' software code that AI is so good at generating.
Product and Design teams at companies like SkillsEngine are transforming from traditional no-code departments into a prolific teams that can write and ship code.
This is saving them thousands of dollars in both software and contractor hours. It's also that much more fun and gratifying to build things yourself.

We're finally fully in the era of democratized coding, one that we've been dreaming about for years, a huge milestone towards our mission of empowering a million software creators.
