#NYT reported that Israel hid explosive material in the Taiwan-made Gold Apollo pagers before they were imported to Lebanon, citing American and other officials briefed on the operation.
The material was implanted next to the battery with a switch that could be triggered remotely to detonate.

Don't worry guys, the pager attack in Lebanon still doesn't count as war; it's just "tensions" according to the Biden admin.

Just an fyi, Israel blew up a bunch of doctors, medical workers, teachers and children in Lebanon today. They targeted a brand of pager that wasn’t exclusively held by Hezzbollah, and indiscriminately attacked civilians in the process. Israel will do anything to push regional war

Just so we are clear: Israel causing thousands of pagers to explode across Lebanon — with zero means of even *pretending* to know who was holding the device at that specific moment, or where they were, or possible collateral damage — is, as you’d expect, a serious war crime.
