I know Baltimore has a rookie QB, but the Ravens offensive coordinator and his game plan are absolute ass. I've seen high school OC's with more creativity. Amateur hour.
Giants have to take Winston out of the game. I'm embarrassed and can't believe I'm going to say it, but I'm ready for this ----
Stephen Vogt manages a bullpen better than anyone in baseball. He also produces more with less.
Anytime a fellow Yankee fan wants to defend Boone, I would ask you to look at the top managers in the game, Murphy, Vogt,Cash, Roberts,(to name a few), watch how they navigate a game and then tell me Boone is in their league.
Yankee lineup and batting order if Boone had balls.
1st base -Rice
2nd bace -Garcia
LF- Bellinger
DH - Stanton
SS- Lombard
CF- Jones
RF- Caballero
3rd base- Volpe
Catcher - Wells.
I know, I know, "Volpe's never played 3rd!"
"Fried's a ground ball pitcher"
"Volpe has a noodle arm"
I don't give a SH.T! McMahon is a choker with a deer in the headlights look. I DO NOT want to see his ass on the field again!
As far as Jazz, SAME thing.
As far as Grisham, SAME thing.
Stanton needs to get 4 at bats. Take a shot.
Craig Stammen hung his closer out to dry. I would guess Miller hasn't thrown 40 pitches in a game all year. He has ONE 2 inning save ALL YEAR. Why do managers in the playoffs change what they've done all season. With San Diego's bullpen there's no need to blow up Miller.
F. K the Colts man. What a lifeless corpse of a team. About to get torched by a 7th round 3rd stringer. Indy is ABSOLUTE TRASH.
I see all the comments about Joey Votto. My feeling is that he doesn't have enough time to convey what he wants to deliver in the format he's in on NBC. Votto would be great, in studio,as long as he's not competing wth 4 other dudes all trying to get their "take" in. He's perfect for MLB network. His "hits" on MLB Now are excellent. JMO.
Yankees v Red Sox
Prime example of why analytics and having a drone for a manager never works. EVERY baseball fan KNEW pulling Gray was a bad move. As a Yankee fan I was thrilled. Gray was pitching really well and he was going to be tough to beat. The nerds in "analytics" who scripted the game had different ideas though and decided that yanking him in the 5th was the right move. I, and all Yankee fans say "THANK YOU NERDS" appreciate the help.
Cubs v Padres
Same scenario as Yankees v Red Sox
You have a veteran pitcher in Gausman pitching well, you have a bullpen that SUCKS, but because "analytics" said so Counsell pulls him early. Is there a more overrated and overpaid manager than Coucell btw?
Baseball front offices are littered with bean counting egg heads, who have never set foot on a field and who don't seem to realize that flesh and blood with emotions play the game. You can't script it. It's what makes sports the greatest thing.
