When working with Redux a few years ago, I would use it to replicate my backend database. Fancy normalization functions to stitch together data in a global store from different endpoints.
Now I just fetch data and set state using React Hooks or Context. Simpler but same result.
This thread has really reinforced the idea for me that many still do not fully grasp the difference between server state and client state and how they behave completely differently in an app.

Was discussing ageism in tech with my SO today, and how we've both experienced it.
You know; get hired on as a junior for a low salary, get a significantly higher offer elsewhere, and your company laughs at matching it.
More companies should hire jr people and pay fairly.
