Happy Birthday to Black feminist icon, Ntozake Shange!
She has inspired generations of artists and her work and creative practices are a north star for SLMDances’ PURPLE. 🌟
“We started this collaboration where I created a solo on Dyane that brought in Ntozake’s language and solidified this idea of the choreo-poem that she coined and pioneered.”
In 2025, we will begin a more formal strategic planning process so that we can build capacity for all the amazing work that SLMDances has yet to do.
Stay tuned for updates on our season happenings and how you can #ExperienceSLMDances.
