From the @USCCB: "The Catholic community and Catholic institutions should not honor those who act in defiance of our fundamental moral principles. They should not be given awards, honors or platforms which would suggest support for their actions."
@pontifex: Why is Cardinal Cupich still at the helm in Chicago? Please prove critics wrong, who claim you are showing favoritism to the cardinal of your home city, and respectfully retire this cleric. It's long overdue.
BREAKING: Cardinal Blase Cupich will honor yet another radical abortion activist.
Cupich will honor billionaire Planned Parenthood donor Michael Sacks. He's given $1.1 million to kill babies in abortions.
Tell @archchicago this is NOT acceptable.

But the “reformation” did absolutely nothing of the kind, as countless very pious protestant converts—including many pastors, theologians, etc.—have discovered (and become Catholic as a result).
Dr. David Anders was one of them. He was an avowed Calvinist, and pursued his PhD in order to disprove the Catholic Church and affirm the “reformation.”
After a decade, he came out Catholic. He discovered there was absolutely nothing like protestantism ANYWHERE in ancient Christianity. Instead, he found the Catholic Church.

Patrick claims his identity as a Bible Scholar who runs a ministry that markets paid Bible courses, study materials, and apologetics content as its own teaching ecosystem.
But when you compare the pages side-by-side with older sources, the same wording, structure, order, typos, course descriptions, and reading plans start showing up. This is a long 🧵with plenty of receipts below. But I encourage we all follow his advice this time and research it for ourselves.
You can decide for yourself. 🧵

No, the “Bible” is not Jesus. I recognize that many conflate (either by ignorance or error or both) the “LOGOS”/Precarnate Second Person of the Trinity referenced in John 1 with the Bible itself (post- and pre-Incarnation) but this isn’t even a layman’s error.
The First Chapter of Saint John the Revelator’s Gospel is one of the Early Revelations speaking to Trinitarian Theology that addresses, most importantly, that the Second Person of the Trinity is Divine, Eternal, of one substance with the Father, and was “operative” long before His Incarnation in the Blessed Virgin Mary. This is the point.
By contrast however Scripture is clear that (1) Jesus is Truly Present the Eucharist and that (2) His Church is, quite literally, His Mystical Body.
(1) Jesus Christ’s Real Presence in the Eucharist.
(A) John 6
“The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying: How can this man give us his flesh to eat? 54 Then Jesus said to them: Amen, amen I say unto you: Except you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, you shall not have life in you. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath everlasting life: and I will raise him up in the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed: and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, abideth in me, and I in him. As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father; so he that eateth me, the same also shall live by me. This is the bread that came down from heaven. Not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead. He that eateth this bread, shall live for ever.”
(B) Matt 26:26 “Take, eat; this is my body”
(C) Mark 14:22-24 “this is my body . . . This is my blood of the covenant.”
(D) Luke 22.19-20 “This is my body which is given for you . . . This chalice . . . is the new covenant in my blood.”

Acts 2:42
Acts 20:7
Luke 24:13-35
1 Corinthians 10:21
1 Corinthians 11:27
1 Corinthians 11:29
(2) The One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church is the Body of Christ.
Acts 9:31 The church throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria was at peace. It was being built up and walked in the fear of the Lord, and with the consolation of the holy Spirit it grew in numbers (Ekklesia Kata Holos).
Acts 9:4-5 (Paul persecuted Christ by persecuting the Church).
Romans 12:4-5 “we have many members . . . are one Body in Christ.”
1 Corinthians 12:12 (One body, many parts).
1 Corinthians 12:27 “Now you are the Body of Christ and individually members of it.”

What does it say about @WesleyLHuff when he thinks that just because a Pope appoints a King, that STARTS the Catholic Church ?
Doesn't that mean that Wes has a secular world view compared to the Bible which has Fatherly Stewards (popes) going back ~3000 years, in SERVICE to God's Kingdom :
* Isaiah 22 shows the OFFICE of "Fatherly Steward" (pope) SERVING the King, not appointing Kings.
* Matthew 16:18-19 shows the God appointing Saint Peter into the same Fatherly Steward OFFICE to bind and loose.
* Luke 22:32 shows the gift of infallible discernment given singularly to Peter to "strengthen the brethren".
* Acts 15 shows Saint Peter demonstrating this authority to INFALLIBLY settle the question of Circumcision.
Hundreds of historical references show Authoritative Apostolic Succession since 33 A.D. :
1 Timothy 4:14 (laying of hands), 1 Timothy 5:22, 2nd Timothy 2:2, 2nd Thessalonians 2:15, Matthew 16:18-19, Matthew 10:40, Ephesians 4:4-14, Ephesians 2:20
"built UPON THE FOUNDATION OF THE APOSTLES and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone
Evidenced in every century :
Ignatius 108 A.D. disciple of John the Apostle
"See that you all follow the bishop, even as Jesus Christ does the Father, and the presbytery as you would the apostles; and reverence the deacons, being the institution of God. Let no man do anything connected with the Church without the bishop. Let that be deemed a proper Eucharist, which is administered either by the bishop, or by one to whom he has entrusted it. Wherever the bishop shall appear, there let the multitude of the people also be; even as wherever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church." —Letter to the Smyrnaeans, Ch 8

Irenaeus 180 A.D. (learned from Polycarp, disciple of John the Apostle )
“We point out here the SUCCESSIONS of the bishops of the greatest and most ancient Church known to all, founded and organized at ROME by the two most glorious apostles, Peter and Paul, that Church which has the tradition and the faith which comes down to us after having been announced to men by the apostles. With that Church, because of its superior origin, all the churches must agree, that is, all the faithful in the whole world, and it is in her that the faithful everywhere have maintained the apostolic tradition.” - Against Heresies Book 3, Chapter 3, p2 :

Did a fourth-century church council invent Christianity as we know it? It's one of the most popular claims made by skeptics today — that the divinity of Jesus and the contents of the Bible weren't ancient convictions, but later inventions, decided by committee at the Council of Nicaea in 325 AD.
In this the 3rd episode of Can I Trust the Bible?, Wes and Andy head to Turkey and Italy, going straight to the source to find out whether there's any truth to these claims. Did the Council of Nicaea really vote on the Bible, or invent Christ's divinity? The answers might surprise you.
Join us on this next adventure as we dig into one of church history's most misunderstood moments, separating myth from fact, and following the evidence where it leads.

This presupposes that Catholic dogma needs to work like sola scriptura proof texting. However this is the very issue in dispute. Mary’s Assumption is not based on one isolated verse as it rests on biblical typology, apostolic tradition, and the Church’s authority.
Firstly, Scripture already gives us the category: Enoch and Elijah are taken bodily by God. So the objection cannot be “God would never do this.”
Second, Scripture presents Mary as uniquely graced in Luke 1:28, the Mother of the Lord in Luke 1:43, and the New Ark. And where is the Ark seen? In heaven, in Revelation 11:19, immediately before the woman clothed with the sun in Revelation 12.
Is that a Protestant-style “one verse and we’re done” proof? No. But Catholicism has never claimed revelation is reduced to that method. In fact, most theological certainties held by all Christians require the same methodology as Mary’s assumption.
Also, Matthew 15 condemns man-made traditions that nullify God’s word. It does not condemn apostolic tradition. Paul literally commands Christians to hold fast to traditions delivered orally and by letter in 2 Thessalonians 2:15.

Want to show apostolic doctrine of the bodily assumption of Mary for us which is a Dogma that Roman Catholics must believe or theyre heretics? Please show me biblical evidence, apostolic evidence, or early church father evidence.
Rome believes in sola ecclesia.
Christians should believe in sola scriptura, that the God Breathed scripture is the sole infallible rule of faith for the church.
Jesus rebuked the Jews in Matthew 15 for the Jews teaching traditions of MEN as DOCTRINES FROM GOD. All tradition must be examined through the lens of what is Theopneustos (God breathed) scripture.
If what God has spoken doesn’t support it, it must be rejected.

Hello again Dr. White,
Attacking my character instead of addressing the text or the argument is, at this point, entirely unsurprising.
When I was Protestant, I spent years watching your debates and working through your “pages and pages.” Ironically, it was precisely that process that led me into the Catholic Church.
So please, spare me your narcissistic appeal to your own material where you do professional mental gymnastics butchering the Bible to add “faith alone” into the text when it doesn’t exist.
If quoting the very passages you claim as your authority provokes this kind of ad hominem response, that says far more about the fragility and lack of foundation in your position than it does about me.
Have a blessed Sunday, Dr. White. God bless.

Anyone want to make a small wager this fellow hasn't ever taken even a few minutes to look at any of the in-depth, long-published Protestant works on every single one of these texts? I know I have published pages and pages on almost all of them, and I can guarantee you, this fellow is incapable of even engaging that material, let alone refuting it. So again, he is an engagement miner: all he wants is the clicks, he hasn't the slightest concern for accuracy and truthfulness. Shameful.

Paul also never mentions by name or at all:
• The Lord’s Prayer
• The Sermon on the Mount
• The Beatitudes
• Any of Jesus’ parables (he quotes zero of them)
• The Transfiguration
• The raising of Lazarus
• Jesus’ birth in Bethlehem
• The star of Bethlehem or the wise men
• Herod’s massacre of the innocents
• John the Baptist (by name)
• The temple cleansing
• Most of Jesus’ miracles
• Pontius Pilate (in his undisputed letters)
• The empty tomb details
• The Great Commission
• The ascension
Nobody calls that a kill shot against the Gospels or the rest of the New Testament

. @sola_chad repeats one of the dumbest myths of modern post-Reformation Protestantism, that somehow the Church had the Bible "chained to the pulpits" to hide Scripture from the common people.
Which is ironic, because he also has me blocked to hide behind any criticism of him.

The "social conservatives" were right about everything. We have been right about everything for decades. Literally everything. We told you that if you tolerate euthanasia even for the terminally ill, even for the "extreme cases," very soon it will be used to put down anyone the state deems inconvenient or burdensome. And that is exactly what has happened, just as we said it would.

Patrick lied again, this time on someone else’s platform.
He misquotes CCC 841 and claims Catholicism is closer to Islam. He ignores CCC 839 that talks about our historic connection to Judaism.
Patrick does this to push his agenda, which breaks down to supporting his grift.

Below is the epic theological debunking of all Zionists and Dispensationalists 🤡✡️👇🏻
The Church is true Israel because Christ, the only true and divine Israelite, is the Head of the Church, which is the Body of Christ.
The Church did not “replace” Israel. The Church is Israel by her connection to Christ her divine head and king. All withered Christ-deniers are cut off from the Sacred Vine.
Zionists and dispensationalists need to give it a rest about “replacement theology.” Y'all employ heretical categories and yield heretical conclusions.
