I turned live news into chart indicator.
Vela is open source, which made it super easy to build this experiment.
It brings multiple live news channels into one interactive globe. Then transcribe broadcasts, monitor topics, and form connections between related coverage across outlets.
AI then gauges the sentiment around those topics and displays it as a heatmap alongside price with transcript excerpts behind the connections.
The idea: Track live news sentiment and view it alongside price to inform intraday trades.
