When I #caption, I provide #accessibility by inserting parts of #humanity into my work. Punctuation, speaker ID, pronunciations, parentheticals for sounds, etc. It's not just words on a screen. #ASR = Words. Human Captioners = communication. #knowyourcaptioner #NoMoreCRAPtions – at Wichita, KS

I still don’t understand how meeting organizers don’t realize that there are qualified, knowledgeable #HumanCaptioners who make a living making the technical spoken word accessible via quality captions. #A11y is our specialized skill, and worth paying for.

If there were some glitch in the internet, and every web shopping cart that I had setup across the entire web (and mostly forgotten) was completed as a purchase.... I think I would spend about...$7,000. That is a lot of very full shopping carts!
