the new butterfly effect everyone will be talking about for generations to come is zohran mamdani winning the mayoral election leading to the new york knicks winning the nba championship leading to a total and complete destruction of MAGA in midterms
It’s really hard to explain, but all this is happening because of Knicks

"congress ke time pe ab tak thand aa jati thi" is perfectly valid bjp criticism since illegally clearing off thousands of acres of dense forest for mining and data centers and hiding that number by classifying sugarcane plantations as dense forest contributes to global warming

⛪ Belarus has blessed its first AI-generated religious icon The icon depicts Carlo Acutis, an Italian teenager who was canonized in 2025 and became known as the “Cyber Apostle.” The icon was installed in a Catholic church in Novolukoml, where Archbishop Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz blessed it on October 11. The move has sparked debate on social media, with some believers arguing that AI-generated images should not be used for prayer.

reading the pained responses of mathematicians, there’s a real cruelty in the way the labs have pursued this. not least because the attempted outcome in dropping so much unvalidated and poorly-written work (per the comments) is to push some of the world’s most passionate problem-solvers to be fact-checkers to a machine, as a kind of cynical cheap-as-free RL environment-by-nerdsnipe. dump a bunch of shit in public, call it solutions, get the experts to pore over it, painstakingly review and critique, scrape their efforts and use it to tweak the model, all while stoking terror about the future of the profession. it’s fucked up.
the mathematicians do not pull punches

say what you will but if my entire family was butchered, bombed and shot by the public, I would never be this defenceless in the streets. All this while our PM doesn’t make a public appearance without a 25 SUV convoy and hundreds of bodyguards. This is inhumane and barbaric.

Half the books you were "forced" to read in high school are actually spectacular, you just didn't have the emotional maturity to understand them yet.
