Amanda Seyfried says the marketing for Jennifer’s Body ruined what she considers a perfect movie. Amanda Seyfried: “I can’t critique this movie. To me, it’s a perfect movie. It’s got balls.” “Diablo Cody was outspoken and beautiful and smart and funny, and we were expressing a certain angst in a very, very specific comedic way, in a very specific genre.” “The special effects were incredible. There were stunts, there was, like, everything that you could want, and girl-on-girl action.” “If the critics criticized anything, it would be the marketing. The marketing sucked. It just did. And we all agree.” “Karyn is a fierce advocate of women and storytelling. She’s able to enhance the relationships between women on film and TV. She’s very human and very sensitive, and I felt like she cared deeply about the story underneath all of it.” “She got it all and she put it together so beautifully. And the marketing team cheapened it. Like it was just, you know, a romp, a gory romp. I think they ruined it.” “I’m looking forward to the sequel. They’re working on it. I already said thumbs up. I was like, whenever you’re ready, I’m ready.” “I want to play Needy. I love Needy.”
