Due to the apparent de facto death of @TweetBot (AKA Twitter killing of API access for certain clients), and the general dumpster fire that twitter has slowly become, I am out of here. Hope to see you at @[email protected]

After spending a few hours to figure out a unsatisfactory mechanism to remove emojis from a string, I discovered that NSStringTransforms have a syntax that perform wonderful things. So simple: [aString stringByApplyingTransform: @"[:emoji:] remove" reverse:NO]

[:emoji:] also works in NSRegularExpression patterns NSString * str = @"I ❤️ emojis! 🤯"; [[NSRegularExpression regularExpressionWithPattern:@"[:emoji:]" options:0 error:nil] numberOfMatchesInString: str options:0 range:NSMakeRange(0, str.length)] returns 2

Hey @telus. How can you have record profits and still be losing so much money that you have to nickel and dime every one paying for your record profits with a 1.5% visa card fee??? Your greed is disgusting

I am firmly convince that the engineer at Apple that added the default stub method: -(void)drawRect:(NSRect)rect { [super drawRect:rect]; } when you subclass NSView has a sick sense of humour. Reduced app usage significantly by simply removing them.

I cannot believe @FastSpring FORCED me to answer a survey on logging into their dashboard. NO popup requests (which is bad enough) No Consent. NO opt out, let alone opt in. What kind of rating to they actually expect when they waste my time? 1/10 seems totally appropriate.

Thankfully there has been a change in govt in Australia. I was started to get tired of being confused with the PM. Not to mention how he felt for being confused with me.

Weather reports would be so much better it they included a % chance of rainbows. "Mixed rain and sun": 😩; "90% chance of rainbows": 😀

Had to fire a customer today. First in a long time. It’s amazing how some people think that screaming abusively at support staff (ie All caps) will get them desired results.
