What a joy to work with @EdIvimeyCook and all our wonderful collaborators on this paper stemming from two years of hackathons, a year of practice with a peer code review club, and another period of deep discussion of these ideas.

I am excited to share our commentary on MeRIT (Method Reporting with Initials for Transparency) @NatureComms

We propose we should change the way we write the Methods section using initials like we do for #SystematicReview and #MetaAnalysis 1/11

As the #rstats course material is not public (yet?) or available as online training (yet?), I thought I am sharing some slides from the deck.
The course covers all steps of the #DataScience workflow as featured in @hadleywickham's fantastic #R4DS 📕 r4ds.had.co.nz/index.html

ALT A conceptional representation of the data science workflow:the first step is data import, afterwards the data gets tidied (prepared, shaped). Then follows an iterative process of visualization, transformation and modeling. Once the final analysis is done, the results need to be communicated. All is embedded in the programing context as we are using R as a code-first workflow.
